    WEST JOHNSTON BAND PARENTS SPONSOR REVERSE RAFFLE AND DINNER ON NOVEMBER 18, 2005 TO BENEFIT THE BAND PROGRAM. OCTOBER 10, 2005

    The West Johnston Band Parents Association is sponsoring a reverse raffle to benefit the West Johnston High School Band Program. Tickets are on sale for $100.00 and include dinner for 2. The grand prize of $5,000.00 will be awarded to the 300th ticket draw during the dinner on Friday, November 18th in the cafeteria at West Johnston High School beginning at 6:00 pm. Twelve additional cash prizes and other prizes will also be awarded during the evening. Ticket holders do not need to be present to win.

    Proceeds will benefit the West Johnston High School Band Program. The band is putting the finishing touches on their 2005 field show titled "All the World's a Stage" inspired by the writings of William Shakespeare music by Sir William Walton and Gustov Holz. The West Johnston Marching Band's success continues as they were named Grand Champion at the Clayton Classic on September 24th. The West Johnston High School Band has been invited to perform at Disney's Magic Kingdom on October 30, 2005. This performance comes one day after they will perform in the Bands of America (BOA) National Marching Band Competition at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida. The band will also be representing Johnston County in Bands of American Grand Nationals Competition in Indianapolis, Indiana.

    The reverse raffle dinner will not only offer the excitement of the drawing but will also be a celebration of the completion of West Johnston's fourth season. To purchase tickets please contact Jan Maust at 631-1022, Cindy Nyberg at 795-9170 or Beth Pearce at 631-7728.
