There used to be one on the way to Surf City we'd pass when I was younger. DH and I went there, "the old way", a few years ago and it was gone. Or did we go the wrong way? Since the installment of I40 we've become hurried and spoiled with the speed of 'getting there' and lost the serenity of enjoying the view during the journey. ...Not that a Shoe Tree is a beautiful thing to see but... looks a hell of a lot nicer than a Bojangle's bag and a case of Bud Light strowed along side the road. ...
