I've been nose down working too much the last couple days, but today it's noisey!!! Why do I keep hearing sirens??? I'm close to Cleveland and Shiloh. Anyone know??
Man, I haven't heard anything! Now I'm curious. We've all been in our sick beds for so long, I feel like I've got no clue what's going on in the world!
If you're so intrigued, then get a police scanner, or better yet, volunteer for the fire department or something. If it's important, it will be on the news. I'm curious a bit when things like this happen too, but geez.. threads like these are my pet peaves.
It's going to be a new year in a little bit, maybe you could get a new attitude? Btw, I need one also! (see other threads) Red, they came by here several times, not sure what was going on. I'm not on fire or in jail ~ so I'm good!
Irish, since you're new, I'll second HG's remark with the same tongue in cheek deal - but seriously, there are a number of people on this board who are out and about all day driving the roads of Johnston County and see what may be causing the ruckus that others hear/smell whatever. . .so members ask (I do too, occasionally, but I am usually one of the ones out and about. . .) I don't know what was going on on Cleveland and Shiloh, but the sirens were going last night and again this morning in my neck of the woods (210/Reedy Creek) and about 9am I was headed down 210 going towards Smithfield and there was what appeared to be the remnants of a recently burned down single wide - it was still smoking - and a few people were standing around with rakes. That may have been the cause of some of the sirens I heard this morning. As far as a scanner goes - we bought one when we lived in Durham, not far from where the guy was shot to death in his basement yesterday. . .same street - about 5 blocks away from him) there were always cruisers with lights on in the neighborhood, sometimes waling about with guns drawn ---very bad neighborhood :x and so we bought a scanner to know what the heck was going on and to see it it was safe to go out to our vehicles. The thing served its purpose, but listening to it drove me buggy at times. Personally, it's much more pleasant on the ears to click onto 40/42.com and ask neighbors WTH is going down.
My goodness...............let's find something important to be peeved about. Misspelled words are my pet peeve. 8)
