I've got a really sore throat, super bad headache, dry cough, runny nose. Anyone else got this crap?? Getting ready to self medicate. :ack:

ds had it started last thursday, seems like a little cold. Gave him some meds and he is doing much better now.. dh and me are starting to get a little bit of it and both started medicating yesterday
that same sickness has been going around here at work since before Christmas. folks around here that got it, it lasted about two weeks...good luck chick...feel better.

I ended up going to the doc week before last and was told it was a URI. He put me on strong antibiotics and ended up having to discontinue them because of side effects. Now, my throat is getting sore again!
My wife has this crud and she is going into her 3rd week!! She also has a sore throat but tested negative. She is going back to the doc today. My son called from form Aberdeen yesterday to chat. He told us he had a bit of a sore throat. Went to sick call this am and he currently has been diagnosed with pneumonia. They are pumping IVs. Lot of mess going around these days.
Don't know, but a co-workers wife has been vomiting for over a week, been to the ER twice and no releif. She is very sick, can't hardly function and none of the docs seem overly concened. :?
I asked that too, and they've done bloodwork for it and said negative. I just don't understand why they aren't doing anything for her other than giving her phenagran (sp?) the moment it wears off, she starts right back up again. It's exhausting to throw up that much.
sick Your co-worker's wife needs to go back to the MD. She could become if not already dehydrated and her electrolytes could be abnormal. Phenergan is usually pretty good however, maybe the MD could prescribe Zofran instead.
