...this weekend? Looking for something the fam can do. Fun, lighthearted, just something to do/experience together.

The Little One told me this morning she wants to go out and have Family Time some time this weekend. What's at the museum/s?

    Thanks!

I don't know about this weekend....but.....Sunday the 15th, there will be an air show at SMJ airforce base in Goldsboro. It's FREE. You need to take a lawn chair and they are not letting any backpacks or large purses.
They will be searching everyone. It's awesome, my kids love it!

Thanks, Clif, we may have to check that out.

Anyone else doing anything else with the kiddies/grandkiddies this weekend?

I told someone else this, but the Natural Science Museum in Raleigh is pretty neat and it is free to get in! Took the kids one Sunday and we had a great time!

Well, not with the grandkids, but I'm also going to Morehead to check out their Seafood Festival. I'm not big on seafood myself, but my girlfriend is, so what the heck.

We are planning on going with a toddler and an older child (for the first time) any advice? Will a stroller work ok there? Since you say no backpacks, does that mean we cannot bring drinks? It lasts for 6 hours or so, do you go for the whole time? Trying to decide how to best work it all out.... thanks for any advice!

West Johnston has a Band Festival for those interested in sitting in the nice fall weather and watching Bands compete. Good stuff! Not enough hitting though.

It is not tooo close to home but the Carolina Renaissance Festival is starting this weekend. It looks really neat.

The Carolina Renaissance Festival is a medieval amusement park, a 10-stage theater, a 20-acre circus, an arts and crafts fair, a jousting tournament and a feast -- all rolled into one non-stop, day-long family adventure!
