We have orientation today starting at 2pm and I was going to take them in today. Doesn't nearly everything become community property anyway? And I figured it would be much easier to do it today rather than weigh them down so much with their back packs on the first day. DH says I should wait. Last year they didn't want me to walk them in on the first day so I assume this year will be the same. Those of you with children, when do you send in your kiddo's supplies? If anyone is on, responses before 2:00 would be fantabulous!
The teachers do not mind if you bring it in earlier, such as at orientation. They know it's quite a bit for the lil' ones to carry... especially the bulky stuff. I've brought supplies in many times before they started school.
My son will be a 5th grader this year (I still can't believe it myself). In anycase, I've brought his school supplies in every year during orientation ... as did many of the other parents who had already purchased school supplies. The kids are already very excited the 1st day of school and may forget some of the things they are supposed to take. Those who ride the bus would probably have a really hard time dragging all their stuff in.
We don't have orientation until Sept 1st that is when I find out his teacher, sometimes I really think they have kindergarten messed up
Bags are packed and we're ready to go! DH just called and reminded me it starts at 1 not 2! Which is a good thing! I'm ready to go!
I'd think most teachers would say orientation so that it cuts down on first-day disruptions. That's what we did.
