Not corned beef brisket, just a fresh one. I have looked at Lowes Foods and Walmart( :ack:) and DR Wells and can't find any but the corned kind. I made that mistake and it wasn't good! I don't shop at Food Lion or HT much, but will if they carry them. Does anyone know??

    Thank you!

I have seen some at BJ's, but they're pretty big - I guess you could get them to cut it in half or something.

I buy them at Food Lion several times a year... and they are not corned beef... they are the regular beef briskets! LOVE THEM with the marinade that I have!

I think that may be what several were referring to when they were talking about it being available on Cornwallis.

We usually buy beef brisket at Harris Teeter. Give them a call and they will make sure they have some for you. Here is the number for the 401/1010 store: 772-0241

The meat dept manager is David and he will find a delicious beef brisket for you.

If you prefer Lowe's Foods, you will probably need to call them as well. They don't always have them in stock. I did find some at the new Lowes on 42 last week, though.

Thank you Faye, and everyone else! Looks like a trip to HT is in my future. DH is dying to try some on the Big Green Egg. I mistakenly bought a corned beef one and shoe leather doesn't begin to describe that thing. Ick!

Which Walmart have you tried? I have bought them at the one in Smithfield but have not been able to find them at the one in Clayton.

Corned beef brisket is good too if its slow cooked. I usually cook mine in the crock pot all day or over night. :)

On the grill, even though we did cook it low and slow, it was inedible.

We got some good beef brisket BBQ at that BBQ place in Garner a couple weeks ago, it was to die for. Can't think of the name at the moment, but it will come to me.
