Where do I go to rent/buy a keg or 1/2 keg of beer? We are having a surprise bday party for my FIL mid October. Thanks!
We've always used Total Wine. Stores are in Cary Crossroads and North Hills that I know of. We've gotten a pony keg from them before so I'm sure they have at least 2 sizes.
There is also a Total Wine off Capital Blvd across from Triangle Towne Center. If you take 540 to Capital (turn left), it will be on your right. Have fun!!:cheers::cheers:
Not tryin' to be a smarta$$, but have you asked the local grocery stores? I haven't bought a keg since -ahem- high school, but that was where we got 'em then ('course that was along time ago in a galaxy far, far away...).
Young days....Greenshields Brewery in Raleigh Even Younger days....College Keg on Hillsborough St I haven't checked....Does the CDH offer this???
Kegs Party Beverage on Western Blvd has the most variety. Peace Street Market and Total Wine are good options too.
I bought a keg three Octobers ago from the convenience store at Cornwallis/42. Used to be Thurman's. I got a crappy tap that came w/ it and it deflated the keg. The owner told me I should have come back and he would have replaced it. Oh, well.
I was thinking College Beverage in Raleigh would be the place to get a keg.....unless you happen to know someone who owns or manages a bar....in which case they could get you one. Craig
Depending on how many bottles you want the grocery store can order it for you and will usually offer case pricing discounts.
yeah i have to figure out how many bottles, it is for the champagne fountain, still trying to cut costs anyway possible:lol:
You could check wine.com. They seem to have pretty good prices. The only annoying part is that someone 21+ has to be home to sign for it. Luckily FedEx/UPS/whoever it was went around and asked one of my neighbors to sign for it instead since i wasn't home.
Kegs ae D.R.Wells If i am not mistaken I saw a sign at D.R. Wells with keg prices.I believe it was by the meat dept.
