Ok- yes this is not a life threatening problem, but my son needs enough cotton candy for the class to all have some. I thought I saw it at Walmart or Kmart... but I have called all around and cannot find any. I can buy it on line but I waited too long thinking I could get it locally. Has anyone seen it (pre-made) in a store or gas station lately? (why I think this tidbit of info would stick in your mind I don't know....) thanks!
Uggg, this was supposed to be simple and easy. He made 'push-cart' for a class assignment and is going to 'sell' cotton candy. He wanted to choose an item to sell that he could give to his class mates and good ol' mom suggests cotton candy. Guess I should have said apples or something. The cart is built and I don't have any cotton candy. (so it is too late to change what he is peddling!) We have a toy cotton candy maker that makes a spoonfull at a time, I guess I better get cranking!
The party rental stores usually carry the equipment to make it if you want to make it ans put it into plastic bags yourself.
the guy that ownes sluggers batting cages has his own machine. Maybe he would make it for you for a little charge?
I wish, but he has already decorated it. It has his cotton candy maker mounted in the middle and that fake snow stuff all around to look like clouds of cotton candy. I wonder how much it is to rent one of thosemachines?? I really dont need that much. (30 snack size bags) Maybe we could have a 40/42 cotton candy party with the rest?
I know WalMart has it, because I've gotten it for preschool before (every year when we do our 'circus' theme...). You may have to track down an employee... I'm thinking it's on the food side, near the front, but I only buy it once a year...
That is where I thought I saw it!! I called and customer service said they didn't have it. CVS said they only carry it in the summer, I wonder if that is the case with Walmart? What time of year do you have your circus theme? Maybe I should call back and hope I get someone else.
its in most conveinante stores and at walmart in smithfield also try the dollar tree i think i saw some there
We do circus theme in January (when the Barnum & Bailey circus comes to Raleigh)... I've gotten it in small tubs and small bags... Hope you find it...that Dollar Tree in S-field has all kinds of stuff!
I just called dollar tree and Walmart in Smithfield and they both said they don't carry it. Walmart says it was Subway (inside the store) who used to sell it... subway says they don't carry it. I guess I need to go look myself. I don't mind looking I just hate putting the little one in and out of the car seat 100 times!! The quest continues....
This is really not a bad idea. Denton is a great guy and if you explain the situation to him, he might be willing to help you out. Perhaps if you bought the material and volunteered to go down there and help bag it or something? It's worth a shot!
Go to any Movie Gallery video rental stores and they carry it. And for that fact, if they carry it then Blockbuster or something like that might carry it too if you don't have a movie Gallery near by. I know there it one in Smithfield by the Food Lion at Brogden road.
Thanks everyone! I got some tonight. I went to a gas station in Raleigh and they had 2 bags, not enough, but a start. Then I got obsessed and went gas station hoping! But I got plenty, so thanks for all the help.
Got some at the drive in in Henderson last night for the kiddies. It was $2.00 a container. Needless to say only one was shared between 3 kids.
