Where to dispose of computer monitors???

Where can I dispose of working computer monitors? I know we're not supposed to put them in the trash so where can they go? I have 2 old monitors and one works just fine. Tried to give them away for free but no takers. So, any ideas of where I can take them to? Thanks in advance.

try talking to your schools... I think there's a program by which they end up in computer labs....

 

Try the Original Equipment Manufacturer web site, many have put in systems to deal with responsibly disposing of their equipment.
