My son is leaving this week in the middle of the week to go to NY for summer camp. We had put off getting his eye exam done long enough, and although it didn't have anything to do with camp, I decided to put a "time crunch" on it anyway. Well...sort of glad I did! It seems that the bifocals that he had to wear for two years (against his will I might add!) has paid off and he no longer needs them and can now move to a single lens rx. Does anyone know of anywhere here in the Raleigh triangle area that can do lenses for a reasonable price and quickly?? I'd rather him leave with the proper rx than have to ship them to him and HOPE and PRAY they are correct!! OR...if anyone has any other suggestions I'm up for that too!! My husband officially called me nuts the other day when I said he HAD to have them checked...in a way I'm gloating that I was right...but now I'm in the hurry up and wait world of retail! LOL! Thanks!
Lenscrafters has helped us in a pinch. They do it in an hour and it gives me an excuse to walk the mall for an hour!
You can try visionworks in Raleigh. They do a lot of glasses in one day, just depends on the prescription. Plus, they have great prices. 2 glasses for $99.
