Where's Ken

    Where did Ken go,is he still around?I have a problem with my car,
    thelf system light is on,engine turns,but thelf system shut gas off, how do you reset the system to get fuel
    I figured Ken would know

    Banned? He was one of the ones on here that you could count on for help
    that could and would help people
    maybe the wrong ones were banned
    not trying to start anything just my .02

    you might have a reset switch in the trunk for fuel

    S B I've looked and there's not one,
    stressing big time,,may have to break out that qt. jar of sipping whiskey and I don't even drink :idea::lol:

    whats the vehicle and year did you look under carpet or in any cubby holes back there, it sounds like you may have but just seeing

    96 or 97 chev. cavalier I looked in trunk but not under carpet there's a spare tire under carpet

    It may be fuel pump,grandson said thelf system light comes on and stays till it starts,I've never noticed

    so it sounds like a fuel pump,,gas needle registers close to half a tank
    I tapped on tank but I don't know if it sounds empty or has some gas in it

    I do know that my wifes car was drained of 3/4 tank of gas last weekend

    It's probably electric fuel pump, check fuse and then locate fuel pump maybe under car or in tank. you can generally hear it come on momentarily when key is turned on.

    Yup, you're right about that. The reason for the ban is as follows:

    Thanks everyone for your input,
    fuel pump failed, got to drop the tank and install new one(I rather take a severe whipping)
