Which Registry cleaner is best?

My home desktop has been sluggish, so I ran the free scans from four registry cleaners, but have to purchase to do a full cleanup.

How do I know which one to buy? Each product scan indicates a different number of problems - in the 200's, in the 300's. Do I have to buy multiple products to clean up my PC? Or is one the best?

Products tried: Registry Defense, RegistryFix7, Registry Booster, RegCure

Too may free ones out there, why pay for one? Go to www.majorgeeks.com on the left side click on Registry. Scroll down and look for ones that say 'freeware'. I use 'regseeker'.

Thank you Dr Dan! I had read reviews and selected the top 4 - but none were freeware. RegSeeker found more than 1000 problems - I cleaned out only the green-light ones for now. Will get the others after I feel comfortable that I've not ruined anything.

Just make sure the "Backup before deletion" (Lower left corner) is checked. Then delete all. You should be fine in deleting all unless you connect to a network at work from a mobile or home location.

Also, run RegSeeker more than once. Some registry entries are associated to other registry entries. After you delete the first one RegSeeker will find the associated entries on a second and third run of the software.

Eventually you get a screen of entries which reload themselves after you delete them. Too hard to explain, but it's a good thing that they come back. Now your ready to scan once a week for an optimum performance.
