Does anyone know the best place to go white water rafting in NC. I would like to get the most for my money. Also would like the kids to have a great time.
The Nantahala which is southwest of Asheville is a good place for children and the inexperienced; but the water is cold. If you want a real experience, try the Lower New River in West Virginia. The Upper New River would be better for small children. The water is warm in the summer and the trip would be just as close as the Nantahala. Have fun!
