We are getting a small pool about 15x48 inches, not really by the time it's filled up..but anyways..it's well over 1000 gallons, to much to use my well for. So I need to find out who to call to come and fill it up? I did a search and after 3 pages I gave up trying to find another thread on it. Sheri
Where we used to live you could call the fire department and they would come out and do it. There was a small fee, and the water came from a lake or bog so you had to treat it for a week or two to get it right for swimming (which is how much time it would take to warm up anyway). I have no idea if they do it here, but where we were it wasn't advertised either.
Pool I have used 4 Seas Hauling and they are good and very reasonable. I think they are in Clayton. Call Chad Lee @ 291-6222.
Be careful with the big water trucks for that small amount, especially if it one of the blow up type pools, the pressure that they push out is not always compatible with those types of pools. Have you considered filling just about a 3rd each day for 3 days, that is how some wellowners did for larger pools.
yep, when I was asking about filling our pool it sounded like a lot of people just used their hose and it didn't end up hurting the water bill too bad.
Called him 200 bucks, not worth it for the size of the pool. Looks like we are going to have to do a little bit each day...don't see doing it any other way. Sheri
It really won't cost that much if you just use your hose. We filled a 16,000 gallon pool once and it only added about $60 to our water bill. Another time we hired Ricky Lee to deliver 2 loads of water to the tune of $375 and he pumped the water so hard that it made the liner come off. Fire departments around here will absolutely not do it. My hubby is on the fire dept. and they wouldn't even do it for us.
