Finally just finished ordering online Christmas presents (good thing, 12:00 tonight was the cutoff date and time to guarantee delivery by the 24th). Still pretty nervous about doing all my shopping online, don't really get to see the quality of the product, but was the only way to do it this year. Still have some stocking stuffers, etc to pick up so i guess i will have to hit Wally World. Hey, i guess if Jennifer can ride in one of those handicarts, i can give it a try :lol:

Hey anyone out there know where to buy a rifle without costing an arm and a leg? DH wants to get middle son (grown man so don't start fussing at me) a 22 for Christmas. Time is running out and he pops this on me :evil:

Get a Ruger 10-22. One of the best rifles out there and it's affordable - about 150ish.

 

Thanks, where would you suggest i shop for it? i appreciate all you guy's help - i am clueless on this one and DH is working 12 hour days through Christmas Eve so it is on me to find it.

 

Wal-Mart normally has em. If not, you could try Davi's in Raleigh.

 

Davi's was where I was referred to last year when I was looking for one for DH. They are very knowledgeable!

I looked at a couple at the gun show a few weeks back and they were closer to the 180-200+ range there. I only paid 75 for mine a couple of decades back and it has been well worth twice that amount.

You can add some very nice stocks extended magazines and the like to customize them too.

The old Nylon 66 Remingtons were really good but the stocks are usually going on any you find for sale today.
