Wreck in front of West HS

Does anyone have information on the wreck this morning in front of the high school? It involved a motorcylce and (looked like) a student's car (looked like a young girl...pretty upset, understandibly!) It looked pretty bad...took the motorcyle rider away in an ambulance.

Mrs. Honeycutt came over the pa system this morning and informed everyone that the man on the bike had a broken leg, and some bumps and bruises, but nothing life threating.

 

I hate to even say it, but there's bound to be more wrecks near this school. We live about 1 mile north of WJHS and the cars go by here after school like it's the Indy 500- passing where there's not quite room to pass, kids messing with their friends in other cars- your basic "I'm bulletproof" High Schooler behavior.

I'm really NOT that old, I can remember doing some stupid things while driving when I was in HS, but this seems REALLY dangerous to me.. I know the Highway Patrol spent a couple of days out on Raleigh Rd after school let out a while back- and they caught plenty of folks for speeding- but they havent' been back in quite a while.

So, if your kid goes to WJHS- tell them to PLEASE drive like they have some sense, their life may depend on it!!!

N. Pleasant Coats Rd/West Johnson High

I live on N. Pleasant Coats Rd and they fly down that road all the time! Very dangerous and yes either am I that old..but still I sit outside and watch them fly by all the time..also coming around the corner from 210 and I have to turn into my driveway, one of these days I'm waiting for someone to run into the back of my car cause they are just going to fast. It would be nice if a cop would just sit at the doctors office on the road in the mornings and evenings, they would be amazed on how many they would catch speeding down this road.

Where is west johnson?

Crossed at N. Pleasant coats rd and Raleigh rd..which N. Pleasant Coats Rd is right off of 210. It's the street on the left, right after the Shell station going towards Smithfield.

You'd think the change in the road they made before building the school would slow people down. They put a crook in the road!
