We are having a yard sale at my son's school, Neuse Charter School in Selma. I am helping to organize it. I usually just have little home yards sales where we stick a yard sale sign the morning of at the front of our neighborhood! Do any of you have suggestions of where I should place ads? (of course I posted in classifieds and events on this site) I need free places of course! Am I too late to place ads since the yard sale is May 9th? Also any tips on the dos and donts of running a big yard sale like this would be appreciated! thanks! DB's wife
You should definitely place ads on Craigslist. I would make flyers to put out in local gas stations, etc. also.
We are having one here at work tomorrow in Raleigh, at the main administrative building, for Special Olympics. We advertised on WRAL Free Classified, Craigslist, and here on 4042. Do it the Friday before the sale! Let us know when you have it!
The yard sale is this Saturday May 9th from 7 to Noon. I think I'm covered. I advertised on this site, The Smithfield Herald, Selma News, WRAL Free Classifieds and Craiglist. I feel like I didn't enter it correctly on Craigslist. It said it would be posted in the Raleigh section. Isn't there a Smithfield or even a Clayton section? I am so not internet saavy. Danger is. You think I would ask him about this but we only see each other for maybe 3 seconds a day lately!!!!! I hope some of you guys come and shop. You would not believe how much stuff we have!!!!!!!!!!!!! Unfortunately, CL only has a Raleigh/Durham/CH section that covers our area. But don't get discouraged because a lot of folks check there for yard sales. Good luck! If I am down your way I am definitely gonna stop by. Me and DD love a good bargain!
