Our TV died... (very sad) So we are in the market for a new TV. We have/had a 38 inch RCA and was happy with it. Hubby likes his high def, other than that we are not picky. Anyone know of any good deals out there? Anyone had good luck at BJ's? Ugg, not what I wanted to buy right now!!!
If you want a TV lesson on what is OUT THERE visit Garner TV & Appliance - ask for Adam. He has been very helpful without that big salesman push. Plus I like that small local store community people feel.
We were just in the same boat... we had a 32" JVC that was only 3 years old and the picture tube went. Now it is just a huge paperweight on my living room floor. We did some looking, BJ's, Walmart, Best Buy and Sams Club. Ended up with Vizio 37" flat panel for $799 from Sams Club. It's got a great picture and all the reviews I read about it were good. It's capable of 1080i Hi-Def, we just have to get TWC to come out and switch boxes etc for the Hi-Def service. Which btw surprised me... I did call to ask about it, and TWC said its just $18.95 for the techs trip out and then there is no additional monthly fee for the hi-def service. http://www.vizio.com/products/detail.aspx?pid=16
Boys and thier toys... he is already home with one. It is a Vizio Tassy, so.... hopefully we will like it.
Well... do we like it? Craig needed to do some adjusting on the color with ours right off the bat, and I like the full-screen picture better than the widescreen effect.
We had to do some adjusting with the default colors too!! It is a clear picture. It is bigger than we had (not that we needed bigger, but I didnt go with him to keep him in line!!) My 2 year old just keeps looking at it going, "Oh my". So I guess it meets his approval. I woke up, on Mother's Day no less, to my hubby and oldest son watching Star Wars!!! They are happy. It is also on sale today at Circuit City and they offer a 110% price guarantee, so I am going by there to get the price difference. So that is cool too! Anyone want to buy a broken TV? Less than 4 yrs old!! Someone can fix it I am sure!
My luck, the new tv has a feature that is not working. Hubby is on his way BACK to the store with it to exchange it. These things are heavy!! I hope this is the last trip to and from a car with a big tv for many years. The company was more than willing to send a repair man out, but I would rather start fresh.
