Flashblock anyone?

Has anyone heard of, or used Flashblock? It is freeware available on the Softpedia web site.

I am so sick of flashing and animation on web pages. I don't mind the ads, but the endless BLINK BLINK BLINK drives me crazy. I'm desperate to shut the animation off, but I don't want to download something that is going to infect my PC.

    Any comments or suggestions?

The best way to review free software is to start the setup to load it on your PC. When it gets to the "License Agreement" read it carefully. I know, it's mumbo jumbo, but if it's any kind of spyware it will give itself away in the agreement.

I just use Mozilla Firefox with AdBlock Plus. Gets rid of most ads. Sorry webbie.

I've installed it. Now sure yet how it's working. Looks like I have to block individual ads. What I really wanted to do, is simply stop Adobe Flash animation overall - or better yet, toggle it off and on.

You want to set up a subscription in Adblock Plus. It will automatically download a list of sites/addresses to block.
