Just to let everyone know. Staples will be starting their $.01 school supply sale tomorrow. The ad will be in Sunday's paper. Didn't look like everything was really $.01, but still lots of cheap prices.
I went yesterday and bought the allowed quantities of the pencils (3 ten-packs), pencil sharperners (3) , pencil holders (3), and two-pocket folders (10). Spent 48 cents for all the items! I'll go again before the sale is over Wed. Wonder what will be next week?! I love this time of year when the different stores have great buys on school supplies. I just wait from week to week to stock up on the dirt cheap items. By the time fall comes around, we have everything we need at deep discount!
Keep us informed of which places you go to for the good sales. I need to find me a staples and get some of those things too. Every penny helps especially when both of my school age childrens birthdays are a week before school starts.
I forgot to look for my pens, I was so excited about the other savings. I ended up with 105 folders for the preschool. 10 folders for myself, 21 packs of pencils, 3 pencil sharpeners, 1 pencil box, 2 1gb memory cards, and 1 2gb memory stick. I spent 43.00, and 2 of those items were 20.00 a piece. So, for under $5 I got all of the rest. Not bad. The White Oak location is better about letting you get more than the limit. The other Garner location is a little more strict. The general manager said that the corporate office was really watching them. Whatever, as long as I can get all I need. He said some people were abusing the situation, which I understand, but I just need some school supplies.
