I don't know really what to say, I don't have much time to drive around or afford the gas to do so..but I need/have to learn how to save money when I shop at the grocery store. When I go I go to Food lion, but I don't have to go often, cause my daughter eats more or so at my parents when I work. So I'm lucky there..but I still need food here as well. Any help on how to get coupons and the best way to get them would be helpful. I need all the help I can get to save money.

Go to Fayes class! She is awesome, they have it at the Clayton Center sometimes as well as other places. I am spending less than half of what I used to on groceries. Do a search on this Forum, I am sure her website and more information is in here. GO!!! :-D

Yup. Then, take her advise to heart. You'll see what I mean when you attend a class.

I can't afford to trip around everywhere, but I'll make out my game plan and hit the store/s that is/are on the way or close by my trip.

Going to the mailbox to see if I have goodies from Rachel yet ;). Waiting on them to go shopping.

Sheri, you can't be "brand" specific like we are. You can save the most money by getting the store brands. Sometimes you get lucky and when triples come around, you can save more with coupons.

Dont worry, I'm not the best at saving. :?

I save very well, I'm just trying to make the money last longer..I'm tight with my money cause I don't have much of it. So if I can make a dollar last alot longer, then I'm all for it..but the cost for the book and then the class..well don't have extra money for that either..darn wish my other business besides my full time job would take off faster then it is..even so I need to figure out something. My problem is I hate to shop, for food clothes you name it..I'm one of those rare girls out there. I like to go in a store and just find what I want and just get it..I don't shop around much..unless it's something really expensive. All or most of my money is spent on my daughter. I just don't have patients at all to look for that bargan out there...but I'm willing to try.

cut your grocery bill in half...

I found out that I was able to cut my grocery bill literally in half by shopping mainly the perimeter of any grocery store. Don't buy pre-packaged meals (i.e. anything in a box) or snacks. Eat fruits for snacks. Sure, you'll still want cereals, breads, etc, but I was totally shocked at how much $ I saved.

I have a 5 and 7 yr old, and it was hard for them to switch off of chips, crackers, etc snacks, but now that we have, their personalities are completely different. I will admit I do buy them some snacks periodically, but making this change has made a world of difference.

I bet it does make a differance in the kids getting off that junk, I need to do that as well..it is so much easier though to feed the junk. It would help me out as well.
