Which Vista Version to use?

    Incidentally that is who all of our PC's come from, "custom built" to our needs which currently includes the need for XP Pro instead of the Vista crap.

    Hypothetically, if a person has the XP Cds from a manufacturer whose name begins with a "D", and I have Vista on a laptop made by folks with a "G", can I downgrade from the hated vista to xp regardless of the difference in manufacturers?

    i have a desktop made by the " G " folks, it came with vista. now it runs smoothly with xp pro.

    Is this anything like 2000, when the best move was to stick with Windows 98 until XP came out, skipping over Windows 2000 and me? That is, if you were going to use windows at all. Is there any likelihood of another system in the pipeline, or of getting some of the most annoying bugs out of Vista?
