Surely it will be sooner than the end of January?!? I was just at one and everything is just 50% off and already looking pretty picked over.
I thought they did something like 10% / week. Maybe they do something different since it is Christmas stuff.
I've no idea but just think if anything Christmas is still around by the end of January seems doubtful it will be worth the wait/discount!
I was at the one at White Oak yesterday. You'd have thought someone had hidden buried treasure in there. You couldn't even get in there to browse. I decided it wasn't worth fighting the mob over and left. I didn't need anything that bad.
I went to the Target out in Knightdale on Wed. It was great! Hardly anybody else there and plenty of stuff left at 10am. It's right at I540, so we took 540 over to the Triangle Mall, hit Old Navy and that Target too, but there wasn't as much left to pick thru. Then last night I had to go out Glenwood Ave, so I hit that Target too (by the movie theatre) and they had lots of trees left...waiting to see if they still have them when they go cheaper, hope so! My hubby just laughs because between home and work, I can go to about 4-5 different Targets if I need to! Luv me some Target......
Here's the Target Markdown schedule.... Year-round: (note: this may vary from store to store, but this is the general rule) Monday -- Infants department, Kids clothing and Electronics (maybe food also) Tuesday -- Women's clothing, Domestics Wednesday -- Men's clothing, Garden, Toys, Health and Beauty Thursday -- Lingerie, Shoes, Housewares, Sporting Goods, Luggage Friday -- Cosmetics, Hardware, Auto, Home Improvement and Jewelry Holidays: All holidays except Christmas follow the 3-3-2 rule: The first 3 days after the holiday are 50% off. The next 3 days are 75% off. The next 2 days are 90%. After that it goes to salvage. Valentines 3-3-2 Easter 3-3-2 4th of July 3-3-2 Halloween (since it's always on Oct. 31, the schedule stays the same) Nov 1st = 50% off Nov 4th = 75% off Nov 7th = 90% off Thanksgiving 3-3-2 Christmas - varies.
They're at 75% off as of yesterday....but hardly anything left at White Oak unless you want wrapping paper.
I was just at the Target off of 15-501 in Chapel Hill/Durham (not sure where it is). They actually had quite a bit of stuff left. I got a wreath box (even though I dont have a wreath...such a sucker for sale!) for $7.39. Got a couple of stocking stuffers for next year. Pack of tissue paper for .49. Plenty of stockings, etc. The one at North Hills was jammed full of stuff last weekend. I might have to go back.
White Oak is still at 75% off today. They have mostly wrap (as bandmom said), some cards, some bows, stockings, some kids shirts, a limited selection of decorations and a few items of candy. The rumor on www.hotcouponworld.com is that is will probably be Sunday when it goes to 90% off - but nobody seems to know for sure.
I was at Wal-Mart in Holly Springs today and they had a whole pile of Christmas stuff. Didn't look at the prices though.
Target at White Oak and Cary went to 90% off today. Sadly, I won't have any time to shop today, but I hope you all find some good deals!
Didn't get to go to Target but my friend did. She said there was really nothing left there today, Sunday. She did manage to get a few rolls of wrapping paper. Just thought I'd also let folks know some of the online places have stuff 75% off which is great. I did get a bunch of stuff the other day at CVS. Was there to pick up a script ansd ended up getting quite the cartfulls--LOL. Since we lost all our stuff last year, it was nice to be able to replenish some supplies for less. Happy Shopping!
