Do they have stay and play?

If by stay and play you mean you can take your kids there, drop them off and you can go do whatever. Yes. Tons of stuff to do for all ages.

No, I want to stay and play with them. :) Are the fees different for that?

    Cleo,

You might call this place to see what they have for mom and kids. Dangerboy would be a good one to ask.

There used to be a place on Main Street in Clayton, a little ways down from Pittman's Jewelers, where you could go in and play with your kids. Kind of like a Play Space, only smaller. Is it still there... anyone know?

If so, Cleo you would probably like it there.

We take our son there every month or so when we want to go to the movies alone. I didn't see stay & play on there website but I could have missed it. I know they will let you stay with your child for a little while to "check it out" before you left them there but then normal rates would probably apply.

The place that was on Main St. closed about 4 years ago. That location has since been an afterschool care business that is also now closed or relocated.

I know Up & Away at 40/42 has stay & play.

Mimis just started charging extra for me to STAY with my child!!! I refuse to go now! (yes I am stubborn) It was bad enough to pay full price since I didnt require their staff to watch him, and I cleaned up after myself but now to pay for me to enter?? I am just cheap I guess.

See, that would make me wonder why they would encourage parents NOT to be there by charging extra. You would think they would love to have parents there to supervise their own children. :?

most kids act different/ better when their parents aren't there...least mine do. That's probably why. Dumb 'ol parents mess everything up.

THats what I was thinking too! I mean it sounds like the type of place that is set-up for leaving your kids - like a daycare with emphasis on play time for them. Why would you want to pay to take your child there and stay with them? Parents don't stay at daycares, so why would you think something's wrong with their policy? :?:

Wow! To charge extra for parents to stay is a bit excessive in my opinion. I didn't know that because we only use the services for drop off and only once a month. If they were trying to discourage parents from staying too long, I think they should just change their policy to drop off only.

I am not picking on their policies, when I 'joined' I asked about staying with my child. I am a stay at home mom and do not need childcare, do not want child care, just wanted to find a place to play indoors on a rainy day. (Like we do at up and away) They encouraged it, so it is not against their policies. We have meetings there and then have an hour play time with mom and kids so it is something they incorporated into their program.

    OK OK..

Went online, and registration is FREE if done online by March something... Aren't I on the ball today? I saw nothing about Stay & Play on the website. An hour or so later, they called and did a followup. They are in the process of revising the Stay & Play rates, currently they are the same price as Drop In Care, and they realize that is not "right".

So. Anyway, another warm day here so we will probably go to the park and wait for the rates to drop.

Might want to rethink that idea, WRAL is saying to expect winds at 15-25 mph with gusts up to 30. Cold front moving in and it's gonna be downright frigid the rest of the week. :-(
