I am in the market for a laser printer. I would like automatic 2 sided printing. I would LIKE color but can settle for b&w. I don't want to spend too much. under $300.

    Any recommendations?

    Thanks

I will reccomend that you stay far away from anything that has the lexmark name on it. With them you end up spending almost the price of a new printer when you go to replace any of their cartridges.

My HP home laser costs about $300 to replace all 4 cartridges. I would recommend you go to Walgreen's or someone like that and make sure that they can refill your toner/ink cartridges, then find a printer that handles them.

the SAMSUNG 310LP we bought SUCKS! No service, little online resolution. We'll never buy Samsung again.

P.S. I love my HP 260X Printer, it kicks tail (I usually print about 300 one-sided copies at a time).

I think your expectations may be a little high for the money you wish to spend.

I've got a Brother HL-5140 that sits on my desk here at work and although it was cheap ($150 or so) the long life toner units for it run about $80 which are usually good for about 5000 copies or so the way I use my printer. And while that sounds kinda high to some, the Lexmarks that I was referring to usually run close to the cost of a new printer for a "original replacement cartridge"

That doesn't sound bad at all, I was thinking color laser.
