I often go to Second Fling on Hi-way 70 just before Goldsboro. Went last week & got lot of good deals in rags to riches section(in back) cause everything extra 50% off. I picked up 18 pieces of kids shorts, cute tops, swim trucnks, etc for little less than $18. Also I was looking at kids books back there & they had Junie B.'s & Magic Treehouse books for $1.00 each & anyone who knows about these knows that is a good deal. Happy dealing.
I also like Second Fling. I go there every chance I get which isn't too often because of the distance. They are like an upscale thrift store as far as selection. Have you consigned items there or just purchased?
I work out in Goldsboro and have to drive 70 everyday. I saw a place I think its called Second Hope on 70. Its on the east bound side is that the same place? Its half way between smithfield and goldsboro
No, Second Hope is part of the Me Fine Foundation. http://www.mefinefoundation.org/ Click on How To Help and there is a link to info about Second Hope and their other thrift store, The Hope Shop.

Speaking of...consigning. Anyone know of a good shop to take used brand name/boutique clothes for a decent price? I usually ebay, but that can be a PITA. Anyone tried the OUAC (Once upon a child) in Goldsboro?
My dsughter has shopped there & I have bought some stuff there. Only thing I can say is it is packed so you can find about anything you want-you just have to look. Also try Second Fling near Goldsboro.
In Cary there are 2 Goodwills. Both are on Kildaire Farms Rd. One at he intersetion of Ten-Ten and the other at Kilmayne behind Big Lots. If you're up that way, Dorca's on the other end of Maynard had good stuff as well.
This was a let down... two small rooms, one with avon/gifts and cute, but the other was where the clothes and toys were. They were in boxes and you had to get down and dig through them. Like they bought out a yard sale and never sorted through it. It was very unorganized, nothing priced etc... I love a good deal, but it was too much work.
I second that motion. Everything was hung on wire hangers all smooshed together. If I touched them, the racks were so rickety they almost fell down. I've had better luck at the Angier Beacon... that says ALOT.
