My printer is out of cyan ink and it won't let me scan when it is low/out of ink. I don't know of a way to bypass this, since it just flashes the same message on the display and ignores an other buttons that are pressed. Any tricks? It is an Epson Stylus CX5400.

Remove and replace the old cartridges. When it asks you "new or old" push "new". That may work once or twice at most.

    I already tried that. :)

Oh well, time to get ink I guess.

wont work on newer printers. the chip on the cartridge has a serial number, the printer reads this number, if you take it out and put it back it the printer already associates this serial number as being empty. most printers "remember" up to 3 serial numbers.

I just saw the fed ex truck go by, hopefully they were dropping off my ink!
