to my digi cam. It looks like it, it fits the camera. I plug it in, and the camera acts like it is plugged into the PC but the PC does nothing. Now, I noticed this the other day when one of my son's friends plugged his ipod in so they could dl some tunes onto it - and the only option it gave was "play music from player". No option to delete/add, etc. Have they (him and his friends) messed with some setting? Help! I'm tired of drawing pictures!

Of course, that's the first I thing I did. Then I shook it, then I looked into it, then I snapped a shot and then I blinded myself. <sigh> Back to square one.

More than likely your model camera requires a driver. Post the Model & Manf on the camera and I can help in determining if you need a driver. Wouldn't hurt to give your O/S too.

The ipod should be using Itunes for transfers?

    Kodak Easy Share, Vista.

It worked before, but my son has dl'd some crap on here and who knows what else those little self-proclaimed IT Techs did to this thing.

You're probably right about the Ipod. We have a generic-pod so I would not know.

Does the camera have a dock? Sometimes they have a sync button on them.

Oh yeah, it does have a little printer. Think it's out of ink, but that might "reset" it?

Back to this old thread, even though I have now officially, permanently lost the USB cord for the camera and found that I have a slot for the memory card on the laptop...

What about my printer that the laptop does not recognize anymore? I reinstalled the driver. Plug it in, turn it on... nothing. It is an Epson Stylus CX5400.

I am hoping this problem does not affect the Magicjack I just got in the mail.

Go to the Epson web site and download the new drivers for that printer. Recent updates to Adobe software have a conflict with the original drivers on your CD.

Also, read the software installation PDF while your there. Printers are a PITA about when you can plug them in while loading the software. Some you plug in first and some you plug in when the softwarew tells you to. If you do this wrong it fowls the whole load and you must uninstall the software before you can install it again.
