When I add email addresses to my contacts, including first and last name, the names associated with the email address automatically shows up in my sent messages.

I would like for only the email address to show in the "To" box and not their full names. Is there a way to do this without manually deleting each name?

I believe Yahoo has an option to "hide names", but I am not able to find anything in Google.

    TIA for your help.

The only thing I can think of is "undisclosed recipients" where you send the e-mail to yourself and a BCC to all the recipients. You can do that with gmail.

Hey! We agree again! (I think that's the same thing I said, only you used a lot more words.) ;)

Thank you for your responses, but unfortunately I already knew those options. I was hoping for a different one. :-(

On another note, in other programs you can easily display your entire contact list by clicking the word "To". Gmail doesn't seem to offer that feature?

    Imagine this scenario:

A friend sent me a funny joke. I want to forward it to about 10 people in my Contacts, but my CRS disease is acting up again (Can't Remember S***) and I'd like to easily choose people from my Contact list.

When I hit the forward command, a new message comes up, is there a way to also open the Contact list? (If I open the Contact list first, choose recipients and hit email, it opens up a new blank email message- it doesn't include the forwarded joke).

P.S. I know how to copy and paste, again, I'm looking for a one-click step to access Contacts and add.

    Thanks!
