I've personnaly been to NBC17 and didn't get anywhere. I've only called or emailed the other two. Maybe a personal visit will prompt something.

I also second contacting G105. I wouldnt go into extreme details, maybe that there was a misunderstanding between the mother & son but the importance is trying to get him home. Bob has a big soft spot for kids, he is also a father so I'm sure he would be understanding. (Bob, Mike and Kristen- Showgram) Drop them a line at showgram@g105.com or (919) 860-0105. They are on the air 6-10 am. I know on Friday mornings between 9:30-10am, you can call in and discuss anything. If you dont get a response before then, I would just call in. Oh! Maybe even mention the media outlets (Channel 11, etc) is not helping. Bob did a joke yesterday that was something along the lines of "i'm not naming names but it rhymes with Channel 11", lol. (they did an inaccurate story or something on him).
Daniel Johnson is missing. He is 16 years old and attended West Johnston High School in Johnston County, North Carolina. His aunt sent me the photos below and would like anyone who has seen him to contact the family. If anyone has information please contact Tracy Johnson, Daniel's mother, at (919)673-0330. Don't count on it. My family did a lot of running around trying to get help for a family friend who disappeared from home. She was 17. All the local TV stations got a personal visit. Same old line: "our policy is that we don't..." None of them aired anything. but of course, they did stories all the time on children who were missing. I guess you have to know somebody (? I hope you find out where he is soon. Snuff
i think its an age thing and a 16 yr old run away is not the same as a 6 yr old missing child. I know that doesn't help but that's the way it is.

Will MIX 101.5 or WQDR mention anything on their stations? I know QDR has their "Holler" line. Maybe Daniel's mom might want to call it tomorrow and leave a message on there for Daniel and a number to contact her if anyone hears of anything. They play these messages around 7:10 AM. I would suggest calling their holler line tomorrow evening, here is the number: 882-3700
that's actually a pretty good idea...they might put something like this on the holler line... however, the morning show is in nashville this week, and there will be no holler line playback tomorrow.
:hurray::hurray::hurray::hurray: Just got a call from KlassKids! They're an organization founded by Polly Klass' father (the girl that was abducted and killed a couple of years ago out in Colorado). Anyway... they work closely with the National Organization for Missing and Exploited Children. They help with runaway cases too, with the goal of getting kids back home before they end up on the street, into crime, or drugs, etc. They're going to fax a copy of the poster of Daniel, along with info about the vigil to the local TV stations and newspapers requesting coverage!! They say TV stations usually respond when a request comes from the Nat. Org for Missing & Exploited Children! :hurray::hurray::hurray::hurray:
It seems like a small world but I was in school with Polly Klaus in Petaluma, CA. I didn't know her personally and I didn't have any classes with her but I did have classes with the girls who were with her when she was taken. This was such a horrible tragedy and absolutly devestated our community but her dad has really honored Polly with his work has been doing such wonderful things now for other people. I'm so glad that they are going to be able to get the word out!
That is great to hear! I have been following these threads about Daniel and hope you have him home soon! Like a lot of others on here, as a mom I can't imagine what you are going through. Keeping you and Daniel in my thoughts and prayers.
well the kids are running with the idea of the Daniel being in the care of some church and that he is ok. It doesn't mean a thing if he doesn't contact his mother and let her know he is ok. Got that word a few minutes ago that he is just "hiding" Like I said the teens are cool with this and think it is ok. They have no idea what that one phone call would mean to her.
In the care of some church? Are they trying to say that a church (leader or congregation) is harboring a teen runaway? Wouldn't that be breaking one of the commanments- honor thy mother and father? I can't believe that a church leader or true christian wouldn't have gotten in contact with his mom or had him do it by now. I would not want to be a member of that church if this is the case.
Thank you, my thoughts exactly - maybe it is just another attempt from the same group to get the focus off of finding him because i cannot believe any pastor would ever do that.
