Lord, as I sit hear in my nice, air-conditioned house with a soft bed, fridge full of food, and a job to go to in the morning, I praise You for these blessings.

Continue to touch my heart and spirit for those less fortunate who have all they possess under a make-shift tarp or card board box on some vacant, wooded lot or in an abandoned house or vehicle.

Keep me ever mindful that it is only through your grace and not my own strength that I am where I am.

Bring your family and friends to C3 on Sunday, July 6 for God and Country Day! This will be a fun and patriotic day with a special appearance of the #88 National Guard car of Dale Earnhardt Jr. We will also be collecting boxes filled with goodies for our NC National Guard that weekend for Operation We Care.

I have to tell everyone this. It has been laid on my heart. When this happens, I have to obey the Spirit. I find that when I don't or procrastinate in the least bit, I am very "out of sorts" until I do. That being said, please read the Bible verse below that I am to place here.

Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters - awesome Christian camp

Just got back from a week at this great Christian camp tucked in the beautiful Nantahala National Forest in western NC.

Some of our kids from church have gone several times, but this was my first time. I went along as one of the chaperones.

There were about 300 kids this past week from churches as far away as Florida and Illinois.

Two worship services each day with "breakout sessions" during the day that covers other Christian-based topics especially for young people.

Each church/camping group is assigned their own male and female staff that spend a lot of quality time with the campers, and get to know them on a first-name basis.

Lots of recreational activities both on and off site.

I especially loved the river rafting down the Nantahala River:
