Just some free advice for a slow machine

    If you have found the home machine very slow lately you may want to go into the control panel, windows components, and uncheck indexing.

    If you do not do alot of application usage like DB's, or spread sheet this is just a waste of resource power. You will find that your machine will speed back up.

    Indexing causes Windows to catalog all applications and keep a DB to track the software.

    Is there another word for windows componants? I don`t have anything in my control panel called that.

    Control Panel
    Add/Remove components
    Windows components


    Should be where you find it.
