I'm probably going to get eaten alive for this one!

    But are there any sheriff's deputies or anyone in law enforcement on here that can tell me how long it takes for a warrant to be served on someone?

    I think it is variable as there are some backlogged unserved warrants in every county. I remember seeing an article on the state figures but I could not find it. This one covers Orange and Durham counties.

    if you take out a complaint against someone they are notified within hours - unless something big happens and the officers are busy. provided you give them the persons address and info.

    They have to find them to serve them. Some people know how to make themselves scarce!!!

    Well, since the JoCo SO is quite adept at serving an arrest warrant at an elementary school, after alerting the media, I'm presuming it's a service based on a civil suit. And, as Satman said, some folks are good at avoiding being served.
