Is it feasible to store my entire ITunes program and library on a removeable drive and only connect it to my PC when I want to d/l music, or update the Ipod?
No for the program but yes for the music/games/videos. Personally because I can't put the videos on CD's I have them on the computer and mirrored on a removable drive.
On the iTunes "File" menu you tell it to add the Folder where you have stored all the music (assuming that you have the remote drive plugged in). So if you are really an adventurist (I have not done this) you would move all your files to the new drive and tell it to go look there. Regarding out in them on a disk, if you are talking a CD, that is why when you are in a play list you see the "Burn Disc" in the lower right corner
Sorry, Yes ~ we have them (songs) on an external hard drive BUT NOT the program, that's on our regular computers & lap tops. Sorry!!! I should NEVER answer computer questions. :banghead:
Hey, I keep getting prompted to download iTunes. I do not have an iPod but waiting to get an old one from a friend. But until I get an iPod can I still down load the software and download the music? And until I get an iPod could I even listen to the music and such off my pc?
Yes to all. You might hold off buying music for a month or two, they will be killing the DRM soon and older tunes will be going down in price.
Okay, so I have to keep Itunes on the PC, but I put the Itunes library on the thumb drive? Can someone describe the process to me in a little more detail? I'm computer stupid.
FYI....there is a free download that will rip audio from youtube. Granted, some sound quality is better than others but it is a good way to get free music. I have an iPod full of Youtube rips.
