Disney has extended the booking deadline to July 26 for the free dining offer.

Did the Aug date change? It was Aug. 16.

Oh, we received a code in the mail for free dining in November and December, so I'm hopeful it will be available to the public again this year for that time as well.

I just cut & paste those dates from the Disney travel agent site. Now that you mention it, Aug. 16 does sound familiar (other than being DW's birthday ), but maybe they've maxed out the offer for the first few days.

I won't be surprised to see them open it up to the public for November/December, at least away from the holidays. The dining plan's a good deal for anyone staying on Disney property, and free makes it a no-brainer!

Ah, I see the date did change, my mistake. I'm assuming when the original booking window was extended, they probably changed the dates for the times bookings were slower. I remember when free dining was first announced back in March, I believe, for Disney Visa holders, that the date was Aug. 16-Oct. 3 with no blackout dates.

I just wish that tips were still included like in years past.

I'll see if I can find the free dining dates from last Nov-Dec.

oh, I forgot about this from last year:

Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina Resident Room-Only Discounts

Check-in dates: 9/28/08-12/23/08. (Some dates may be blacked out.) Use code GTI.

You must book by 9/27/08. There are a limited number of rooms available at these rates. This offer is only available to residents in the following states: Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina. Proof of residency is required.

Still too rich for my blood even with the free dining. To really enjoy yourself, you got to stay at least a week and they will cost you close to 3k or more depending which hotel you choose

It would depend on which hotel, type of tickets, and # of people.

Do you remember if they've offered any room deals or free dining in Jan/Feb in the past? We were going in September, but unfortunately I'm going to have to cancel. I'm hoping for some sort of discount in Jan/Feb.

There was free dining for scattered dates for Jan and Feb of this year and some other discounts that have not been offered since just after 9/11.

Have you registered on the Disney site? We just received a pin code in the mail for free dining in Nov and we received one last Jan for discounts in March plus a $500 gift card.

There are several people from the area on the Disboards. One named NCState (I think) lives in the Cleveland area. She and I have discussed setting up a sweet tea distillery somewhere along 192....probably in the old Holiday Inn Nikki Bird. 8)
