Anyone know it's possible to recharge a battery outside of a laptop? Long story short - I can't run the laptop off electricity (issues with the cord and it can't be replaced), so I have to run off the battery. The battery has now run down and it doesn't recharge anymore when the laptop is plugged in. I'm using a different laptop now, but would like to get on the old one long enough to download a few files. Anyone know how I can recharge the battery? The laptop is a Sony Vaio, if that helps. Thanks in advance!
Not sure if they make stand alone chargers for laptop batteries. But i would suggest checking out 'batteries plus" they may have a solution for you. BTW what are you going to do with the sony vaio laptop when you are done?
you can easily get a replacement power adapter for most laptops through 3rd party vendors. if it is the connection on the motherboard, that is a different story. however, if you just want to recover the data you can remove the hard drive and connect it to another computer to get the information.
