...and a big +1 to that! We expend so much effort doing what has to be done that we sometimes forget to stop, to take a deep breath and appreciate what an incredible place this planet is.
Thanks Seabee for giving God the glory. We don't thank Him enough. Yesterday when the kids weren't here, I had all the windows opened, no TV, and just listened to the trees rustling in the wind. It was the most relaxing day I've had in a long time. It's those quiet times I really feel God's presence. You don't have to be a church building to be close to God. He's all around us all the time.
WhooHoo! ....and when you're riding the bike on a beautiful fall afternoon, look up and see the breathtaking blue sky and take in the scent of Autumn..........ya, man God is so great! Awesome thread. YQ
I'm glad I read this thread...I had a rough weekend and was not a very nice person to my family. Especially the kids. I let them get on my nerves too much and then sceamed at them. I have had alot of issues the past 4 to 5 months and it always seems to get the best of me. I needed to see Kent's post of that Psalm.
My favorite thang about this time of year is the chill in the air and the newly fallen leaves with little spots of red on 'em that lead directly to the deer I just killed. Praise the Lord!
Give them a hug and tell them you're sorry. You'll find a very forgiving child. I do the same to my son from time to time and I feel so bad when I lose my temper. But telling him I'm sorry and to see the softness in his face when he knows I am humble enough to admit when I went too far, just melts my heart. They'll forgive you and understand more than you think.:grouphug: Amen! I am so ready for hubby to get a huge 10+ pointer so we can decorate the wall. And our freezer is about out of deer sausage and hamburger we need a refill!
It's nice to know I'm not alone. I feel the same way when my kids get on my nerves. I used to be so patient before I had kids. We do have to be still sometimes... but it's sooooo hard to do.
