That is so sad for the school! All the teachers that I have ever talked to over there LOVE working for him. That is one of the key ingredients for a good school because few teachers leave when they are happy with administration. I missed the news- where is he going?
He's the principal at Westview Elementary. He is leaving March 1st 2010 to take a position w/ JCPS as the director of Human Resources. It was mailed out in a bulletin today. Lori Johnson is taking his place & I must say I really, really like her. She's great w/ the kids. Good luck to both. Stephanie--mom to 7
He is a great principal. But Mrs. Johnson is a great replacement. She is real nice and my kids love her. She really deserves this.
I have to agree- Lori Johnson is the best replacement. That is good news for them. I do not have anything to do with the school besides having friends that teach there or have students there, but I know Lori and she is a great person.
Mr. Vetrano has to be one the most sincere people I have ever met in my life. I will hate that he is not there when DS #2 goes there, but wish him all the best. Mrs. Johnson would be the only replacement that could live up to what Mr. Vetrano started at WVES. Congrats to her and can't wait to work with her again in a couple years.
Congrats to Lori Johnson!! We were very "close" when my son was at CES. lol It's really a well-deserved promotion for her. On a side note, I *am* disappointed that the current principal will be leaving for an admin position with the county. Schools need more men.
New Principal at West View :hurray: Mrs. Johnson is an outstanding person and administrator. She will do excellent as the new principal at West View. She is loved by many.
