the manual says to use a 15 pin cable. dh has looked at Best Buy, Walmart, Target, to no avail. Where can we find one these, if possible in our area? Would like it for this weekend, so no time to order online.

That should be just a standard video monitor cable...the one with the blue ends.

thanks - I meant Comp USA and they had what I needed.

NOW - can I make the computer screen/display fit my 47" tv screen?

Haven't done it myself but on the desktop right click and choose properties. Go to the settings tab and experiment.

What I have seen from dealing with it at work is that if the laptops screen isn't a widescreen then the video card in the laptop isn't usually designed to accomadate a wide screen feature and thus it never will fill the screen.

Laptop manufacturers usually have a proprietary software program for screen settings on external monitors.

Click on START then PROGRAMS. Look for your laptop manufactures name in the program list. There should be a program for external screen settings. Look for "VIDEO" related names.

Also, an S-Video connector should be on the side or back of your laptop. It's a better connection for a wide screen TV and the cable is 1/2 the cost.
