I've lost my sound! Please help...

    I guess I've screwed up something again.

    Since I lost all my music on the old computer I was uploading music from misc CD's that I had burned in the past. In between uploading and renaming songs I upgraded FireFox at their prompt. Took a break.. Then when I went back to uploading songs (rip then rename) I couldn't get any sound. As I was renaming, I used google and youtube to get the info for the songs I couldn't remember the title or artist for.

    The only thing that was changed was the upgrading of Fire Fox.

    DH tried to figure it out and came up with nothing. Speakers are connected. Restart, chkdsk and System Restore didn't work.

    Could it have been the FireFox update and if so, how do I fix it besides using System Restore?

    Any ideas?

    At DH's request I'am using IE..which I absolutely detest.

    Got the speakers fixed ...was a broken wire in the cord. :evil:

    Firefox still won't load so I guess there were two problems. Anybody running the new FF upgrade having problems?

    yeah. when I upgraded firefox it wouldn't open at first. I don't remember if I shut down or what, but after a couple of hours it started working. I know this don't help, but I did have problems too.???

    Reinstall drivers

    I'm using 3.6, I think that's the latest, with no problems. Sorry, I know that's not helpful. Hope you get it working right soon, I hate when my computer is giving me trouble. :grouphug:
