Ok, need a tablet for business purposes, already have an android smart phone so want to get ios tablet, any opinions on why it is worth spending the extra $100 for the Ipad 3? Also, do i need the 3g or if wifi enough in our area?

The iPad "3" has better graphics, a much better camera, it's slightly thicker, and you can get 4G wireless. Since you have an android phone, you can probably skip getting an iPad with 3G or 4G - you can use your phone as a hotspot. I would get the newest version for the better camera and screen. I use the iPad 2, and it's worthless for taking a picture, and so I don't. The FaceTime app has surprisingly good images, even with the disappointing camera.

If I was buying a new one and didn't have one already, I would get the iPad 3. Since i already have the 2, I don't plan on replacing it.

It is something that has to be activated on your account. Once activated your phone can function as a wi-fi hot spot for up to 4 devices.

It doesn't mention Apple anywhere in that app. I like the concept. But I would like it to support iPhones and iPads.

As it is a Android OS app I wouldn't expect it to support iOS unless of course you can jailbreak the iphone to run Android based apps.

kaci......unless you plan to take advantage of the updated camera (personally i find it's easier to use the 8mp camera on my phone as I always have it with me) I'd go with the ipad2 at the cheaper price and think about upgrading once the next version comes out.

Though the Apple fanboys will argue the point it's honestly not worth having the "newest best" thing they come out with as often times it's not that much of an improvment over the "current" model.

As a side note I can tell you this...the "new" iphone 4s with it's dual core chip is actually slower than my evo 4g. My IT guy and I can sit next to each other and I can surf, text, and call quicker than he can and we are both on the Sprint network.
