I know it costs money to throw out your garbage but do you still have to pay to recycle? It's been a long time since I have had to go to the dump. I know I can drop off old tube tv's there but do I have to pay to recycle? TIA

I've noticed there is a lot of plastics they don't let you recycle anymore. the little yogurt cups, thin, clean plastic like fruit pieces come in from food lion/Lowes foods.
they said they can't sell that anymore, so don't take it. for a while they had a board up with the different plastics they don't take anymore.

I was under the impression that it was all #1 and #2 plastics, cardboard, and metal cans; that don't have food waste on them.

Also, everything will be free there starting July 1st, 2024. No more fees for anything.

That's been for a while now, I think they made that change at least a year ago. They just made the signs bigger in the past few months.
