I've seen them leaning out the chopper to inspect but I didn't think they crawled along the wires.

About a year and a half or so ago they were doing work on Main transmission towers 98/50 area they didn’t have a seat on side of copter. They were dangling off a cable when they moved from tower to tower. It was cool to watch.
