I'm probably going to regret doing this, but..... DH and I haven't been able to agree on a name yet. We have a few we've tossed around, and a name we've agreed to use if we can't come up with something that I like better (because he loves the other name), but I'm just not satisified. I like traditional names, no weird spelling, and they have to phoenectially flow. I don't like single syllable first names. And I don't want this poor child stuck with a name like Jennifer, that every other kid in her kindegarten class has as well. So, it's a girl, whadda ya think?
If I ever had a girl, I was going to name her "Laura" Don't ask me why, I just really liked it, one of hubby's Aunts recently had a girl and "stole" my name so I won't ever get to use it, not like I was planning on another kid anyway.
If i had ever had a little girl, i was gonna name her Allison and probably call her Ally. Just like above, don't know why, just always loved that name.
There are a lot of girl names that I like. I never got to have girl...oh well Megan Victoria Tehya Grace (pronounced tay-ya) Savannah Taylor just to name a few... What kind of names are you guys looking at? (you dont have to say if you dont want to)
Here are the top 10 of last year to avoid. 1 Emma 2 Emily 3 Madison 4 Kaitlyn 5 Sophia 6 Isabella 7 Olivia 8 Hannah 9 Makayla 10 Ava
I guess I will give my favorite name....since i do not know you that well, so it is okay. Kennedy is my all time favorite. Good luck
Another vote for Laura, being a journalist - you oughta have a soft spot in your heart for Laura Ingalls Wilder!
Names I love that my daughter- in -law obviously didn't. Bethany Molly Melissa Shayla Danielle Valerie Vivianna Arianna If I had a middle/last name to work with, I could offer more suggestions! I love baby names!
If you wanna talk middle names, back then i was gonna go with Renae or Lynne, but i know they aren't really common names nowadays. BTW, Ally and MM's name would sound cute together, jmo
My SIL's name is Rhnea, pronounced Renee, odd spelling, her mother swears she saw it spelled that way somewhere, but was never able to prove it, LOL. My Mom's name is Johanna, which I love but she hates. Everyone just calls her Jo. One of my sister's is named Valerie, the other is Beverly, and I like both of those too.
My fav biblical names, in order... Elizabeth Rachel Sarah Rebecca Leah some fav non-biblical (no particular order)... Lauren Haley Holly Jaime Jessica
Well...if our first son had been a girl he was going to be Jordan Michelle while our second son would have been Madison Leigh. My current favorite girl name is Rory Savannah but no more babies for us so thanks for the fun of getting to share it. Good luck!
I, too, like the name Kennedy. I like girls' names that don't have obvious nicknames and that would represent a strong woman in the corporate world. Take for example Sarah ... nice name but makes me think of someone who is sweet and a push over.
I know, and I hate it because I love Emma, and we'd decided to go with Emma until everyone I talked to had a niece, knew a kid, aunt's sisters brothers boyfriend, whatever......had named their kid Emma. So then we said Emily, and now I hear that all the time. MM has a very classic first name and a biblical middle name.
I like my cousins names... McKenzie Kimberly Delaney Bouvier (Bouvier is a family name that she wanted to keep alive in the family since no one had boys, or just no kids to carry on the name) She also tried to give her girls first names that wouldn't necessarily denote they were females down the road on resumes and job apps, etc... I've also always liked Brittany, Madison, Emily & Samantha. Emily Rose Samantha Kimberly Madison Marie Brittany Renee just a few thoughts of names I like...
