thinking of biting the bullet -- discontinuing the gym membership and buying a treadmill -- have been doing online research but was wondering if any of ya'll have one that you like or dislike and why???? --
Ben..you beat me to the punch. Most of them I've seen ususlly have coats draped on them..fairly expensive coat racks..lol
Owned two of them in my life, both became clothes hangers within a month. Sold one to an employee, and on a visit to his home I found that he used it the same way. Welcome back Ben!
My wife uses ours fairly regularly since the cold weather is a bother and walking is good exercise for her leg. I, ont he other hand, only have dealt with it when I had to buy it, get it into the sunroom, get it out of the sunroom, move it to the new house and get it into the exercise room upstairs. That was usfficient exercise from that source for me..... It does help considerabley to have a TV placed so that you can watch it while walking. I got plenty of exercise from moving that too.
Treadmill vs. Nordic Track Rarely does a subject arise that I think I might contribute. I really wish you would consider a Nordic Track. After thousands of miles of running, lots of exercise machines, etc., this is probably the most bang for the buck to maintain fitness during the winter months. No connection with the company; just my opinion. Running Man.
Pro-Form nad it is heavily made. My wife liked the cardio-monitor and the ability to raise and lower the deck to give a better work-out. http://www.proform.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product2_13402_10351_29289_-1_21663
I have a Nordic Trac you can try out if you want. It's currently serving as one of those expensive valets in my bedroom, but I really do mean to start using it again. One of these days. Soon.
gee thanks KDsgrandma -- i just looked at the nordic track webpage --- i may take you up on it --- to prevent it from becoming the most expensive clothes rack i am thinking of putting it in the basement in front of the tv -- but there it might be out of sight out of mind -- lots to consider
