I know some people at the meeting monday that where not in the boundaries wanted to voluntarly (sp) be incorporated. I know Cooper Farms, Riverwood Golf and Sandy Branch all can be included you just have to have a majority of people in your subdivision to want to be incorporated. Thats what they where saying in the meeting, not sure how easy its going to be since they are so close to the Clayton line (1 mile) there is a website being developed so that the community can see what is going on and the proposed maps, streets and so forth will be included on the site. I am assuming that they will give this info out at the next meeting..
Most maps like this are requested because they are not official maps or boundaries they are just proposed..
I'm part of Sandy Branch, I found out about this meeting too late to go, but I will be at the next one! Thanks for the heads-up! I think I'd much rather it be Archer Lodge than Town of Clayton..........................we've got all these brand new S/D's on Loop Rd now, we are ripe for the picking as far as Town of Clayton goes I'm sure.
yep, probably so. Be sure to let your neighbors know, they will need all the support they can get to be able to include yall.
I think that if the folks in Archer Lodge want to incorporate to insulate themselves from being annexed into the Town of Clayton, they're using an 18-wheeler to squash a housefly.
I've bee told both that...The area is considered because of the watershed...and...this area is considered because of the emergency services lines. Those would show the boundary lines, so I've been told. This cuts out part that I would consider Cleveland and adds parts I wouldn't consider Cleveland. GIS has the maps of the watersheds, etc. You can go online and get them. As a side note, the area can protect itself by annexation. Again, this is second-hand info, but I was told the way to do it is to officially express an interest to the CC that the area is looking into the thought of maybe incorporating. That stops all annexation and ETJs for a certain period of time. Frogger
i was told a couple months ago that the GCCC was checking into it again - any progress that anyone knows of or do we all need to start making some phone calls?
