Pizzeria Attacker Dies After Being Run Over by Victim's Husband Primo's Pizza 2 Posted: Today at 5:41 a.m. Updated: Today at 9:36 a.m. Fayetteville, N.C. — A man who tried to stab a woman at a pizzeria, and was later run over by the woman’s husband, has died, police said. Aaron McLeod, 28, of 412 Horseshoe Road, died Monday at UNC Hospitals. He was run over several times with a car Friday night. Before he was hit, McLeod approached a woman and attempted to stab her as she and her husband dined at Primo Pizza on Yadkin Road, police said. The woman called out to her husband, Stanton Moretti Jr., who came outside and fired two shots from his handgun, police said. McLeod fled on foot down Horseshoe Road. Stanton Moretti Jr. got into his SUV, caught up to McLeod and struck him several times with his vehicle, police said. McLeod was initially transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center and then moved to UNC Hospitals, where he later died. Investigators are now working this incident as a homicide. The charges against Stanton Moretti Jr. have not been changed at this time due to the ongoing investigation. The stabbing incident involving Mrs. Moretti and McLeod is still under investigation.
