It sounds like the photographer is going to be ok ... and he is able to laugh about it now ... which is a good thing. I thought the coach's comment was cute:

"One of the first things that came to my mind was, 'Good thing we brought a second javelin,'" Miles' coach, Richard Vance, said Monday.

 

ah. ... big baby. it's a little more than a graze... not like jamming your finger into a food processor... remember that?
