I am a big fan of Gymboree clothes. I truly believe they last a long time. Of course, I never pay full price for them (either go to the outlet, online, or sales at the stores). They are the only clothes that I've been able to get out every stain (watermelon, mus-My Friend, ketchup...). I swear they treat their fabrics with something. 2 weeks ago, instead of going to the stores for the tax free weekend, I went online and bought my kid's clothes. It was so much easier. However, some didn't fit. When I went to return some of the clothes at Gymboree today, the clerk told me something interesting. All the stores in the area are considered Level 2 stores...i.e. they don't get in a lot of merchandise. The only Level 1 (i.e. big) store is in Charlotte. In addition, in this area we have "cold" and "hot" stores. I was at Southpoint. They are a "cold store" and if a clothing line has something in a top, they will carry it in the long sleeve, whereas the Cary store will carry it in a short sleeve top. Southpoint will hve leggins, Cary will carry bike shorts. Goodness gracious, who can keep up with all of this??? Glad I shop online. All the options are available online. I don't expect anyone to reply...just thought I'd pass on some info.
Wow, that is confusing! So was your point that you couldn't return some of your things at the store you went to because of this? That you would have to go to Charlotte? I wonder if other chains work like that?
yeah, I understood that. I was wondering how she found out though, was it because they wouldn't let her return some things?
I could return everything I didn't have any problem returning the stuff I needed to return, I just think the salesperson and I started chatting, and she began to explain to me how Gymboree operates, and its different types of stores.
